Play-doh splash, splat and spill

Play-doh splash, splat and spill model

I had huge ambition. I was going to create something intricate and inspiring from my son’s Play-doh. Think of the Sony Bravia Play-doh bunnies TV ad, but bigger and better.

I threw myself into the task… green, yellow, purple, black, blue … there were pots, lids, and little balls of play-doh everywhere. I was going great guns. 3 hours later my masterpiece was complete. A splash, splat and spill!

3D paper cut-out scene

3) …further back still!

I really let this picture have it. First, I cut it into lots of small pieces. I then took all the pieces, and strung them up – on wire. Oh, how I make my art suffer. But no… I was just making a cool 3D comic battle scene, and absolutely no planets, asteroids, or space jets were harmed in the making of this picture!

This cosmic endeavour kept me and my son busy for 2 hours – a good one to remember for those long cold wet Winter (and Summer) days.

Twee keyholder

Wire keyholder with keys

Wire keyholder close-up

Wow… this sophisticated device has changed my life. No more fits of rage, high blood pressure, missed trains… no more leopard-crawling on my stomach to check under the sofa… no more rifling through the dirty washing… no more misplaced keys! And all it took to make was a couple of hours, a pair of pliers and some galvanized wire I found in the shed. Oh… and a couple of blisters.
