I’m no stranger to the magnetic scribbler. I’d even go as far to say I’m a dab hand – especially at farmyard scenes, you know, cotton-wool sheep, ducks, cows… occasionally pigs. However, I’d never really tried drawing ‘proper’ picture until this portrait of my son Joshua. It wasn’t done from life, he’d never sit still long enough! I used a photo that I found stuck on the fridge.

I think I captured his likeness, all be it very crudely. I could have done better if my kids hadn’t turned the surface of the scribbler into braille by hammering it with the stylus.
