My son won a plastic dart gun at the local fair, it was actually quite cool, it shot suction darts and little rubber bullets – and it shot them pretty far. So far in fact, that most of them ended up in the neighbour’s garden! So with bullet preservation in mind I encouraged my son to shoot at targets (so we could easily retrieve the bullets). To make this a more exciting prospect than shooting his younger brother, I tried to make the targets a little unusual!

Paper targets - how todiagram

Kid’s (especially boys) love targets, you don’t even need a dart gun – you can use balls, marbles and even stones to try and knock them down. If you don’t have the time to create your own, you can download mine below. Have fun.

  2. You are probably more gifted with wire bending than I. I do, however, have plenty of toilet paper tubes saved for projects so that is a great idea. My son colored his first one – thank you!

    • Hey, that’s great to hear – I’m really pleased they are being put to use! Thanks for taking the time to comment.

    • Its a pleasure, thanks for the nice comment. To create the bases I used wire (bought from my local hardware store) which I then bent into little stands. Perhaps toilet roll (well, the tube inside) might make a good alternative ;)

  3. Well, you’re a super generous artist! My boys will love these! They are always shooting eachother and it will help my sanity to give them something else to shoot at. Thank you!
