Forty low-tech bubble machines

Radical recycling

Way, way back, a friend and I made forty bubble machines. They were made from MDF board, pram wheels, slide trays (do you even get slides anymore?), elastic bands and galvanized wire. They were what you might call, low-tech.
We sold them from a stall at Covent Garden. And although we got a fair bit of interest, they didn’t sell in the numbers necessary to make the business viable. So rather sadly it all petered out, and I ended up with a large overdraft, which I had to pay off by working on a building site for 6 months!

These look fun. =] do you still have them?
I think I have one left – although I haven’t been able to find it, I’m assuming it’s somewhere in the attic!
I completely forgot I commented on this! I don’t suppose you’d want to sell your last one, if you ever found it? My little brother would love it but I’d never be able to make it myself!
I can’t find it – I’ve looked everywhere, even in the loft. I’m a bit sad there’s none left! Scott:)
